Our Services

Initial Assessment

Dr. Lisotto conducts a comprehensive psychiatric assessment by discussing your concerns and sources of stress, while gathering relevant background history (including medical, psychiatric and developmental history), reviewing prior records (including neuropsychological testing, laboratory tests) and contacting other clinicians involved in your care.

Dr. Lisotto will discuss preliminary diagnostic impressions as part of the assessment of consultation. If the decision is made to begin a therapeutic relationship to work together, she will help you create a treatment plan that matches your goals for treatment.

Psychotherapy

Dr. Lisotto provides psychotherapy for children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. In psychotherapy, she will take time to explore your concerns in detail, exploring how old patterns and ways of doing things can influence your current decisions and relationships. Treatment will focus learning new skills and ways of coping so that you can find more joy and meaning in life.

Dr. Lisotto’s psychotherapy training includes psychodynamic psychotherapy, play therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), exposure response prevention (ERP), prolonged exposure (PE), couples/family therapy, mindfulness-based (MBCT), and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT).

Psychotherapy sessions are usually conducted on a weekly basis.

Medication Management

Dr. Lisotto believes in the cautious use of medication as one of the components of a comprehensive treatment plan. After a thorough assessment and discussion of your specific concerns and symptoms, she will discuss with you whether medications are indicated, and if so, she will help you make a choice that matches your needs and personal preferences. Dr. Lisotto has extensive clinical experience and uses evidence-based approaches to prescribe and safely monitor medications.

In order to carefully assess response to medications and evaluate your treatment progress, the frequency of follow up visits occurs, on average, once a month. This frequency can vary to evaluate your individual treatment needs.

All visits are scheduled by appointment only. The initial assessment sessions are typically scheduled for up to 90 minutes.  Follow-up visits are scheduled to last between 30 to 45 minutes, depending on the treatment course you collaboratively decide to pursue.

Dr. Lisotto is an out-of-network clinician, meaning she does not accept insurance payments. Documentation of services (a “superbill”) is provided so that you may file for out-of-network reimbursement directly from your insurance provider. Please call your insurance plan to find out if you have out-of-network coverage or reimbursement.
